INPROCAP Satellite Event at BSBF2026: Building Skills and Tools for Innovation Procurement in Big Science

Innovation procurement can help Big Science Organisations address complex challenges, engage with industry and accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions. To make this happen, professionals need practical knowledge, suitable tools and opportunities to exchange experience.
At BSBF2026 in Maastricht, the INPROCAP project will present its key results and practical resources developed to support professionals working with innovation procurement in the Big Science ecosystem.
The INPROCAP Satellite Event, “Building Skills and Tools for Innovation Procurement in Big Science,” will showcase how the project supports Industrial Liaison Officers, procurement teams, researchers and companies through practical guidance, training resources and examples from practice.
Participants will discover:
- Key results and lessons learned from INPROCAP activities, trainings and stakeholder engagement
- Practical guidance from the INPROCAP training manuals to support innovation procurement procedures
- TheINPROCAP Online Learning Platform & Toolbox – a free resource providing access to learning materials, practical examples and tools to build innovation procurement skills at your own pace
The session will also provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss challenges and explore future opportunities for collaboration within the Big Science innovation procurement ecosystem.
