The INPROCAP project was proudly represented at the one of the world’s foremost events dedicated to industrial and scientific collaboration in fusion energy, ITER Business Forum. Held in the vibrant city of Marseille, the event brought together global stakeholders committed to making fusion power a reality.

Strengthening European Industry Ties with Fusion
The project partners from Poland and Denmark were on site to promote our core mission: strengthening innovation procurement capabilities within the Big Science ecosystem. A central focus of the delegation was to engage with Industrial Liaison Officers (ILOs) connected to ITER. Mainly those, who play a key role in bridging national industries and major scientific infrastructures.
By highlighting the INPROCAP platform’s potential to facilitate cross-border procurement and innovation partnerships, our team emphasized new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to collaborate with ITER and similar institutions across Europe.
Direct Dialogue with ITER Stakeholders
The forum provided an excellent platform for the INPROCAP team to engage with ITER procurement officials, scientists, and other key stakeholders. Discussions offered valuable insights into ITER’s evolving procurement needs and priorities—especially in areas where innovation and agile industrial partnerships are critical.
These one-on-one interactions reinforced the value of INPROCAP’s support tools, training programs, and its growing Community of Practice. Its members strive to help companies navigate complex procurement landscapes.
A Glimpse into the Future of Fusion
A highlight of forum was an exclusive guided tour of the ITER construction site. Participants could observe the progress on the Tokamak reactor, the core of the world’s largest fusion experiment. The tour showcased the scale and complexity of ITER’s undertaking, underscoring the vital role of international collaboration, advanced technologies, and sustained innovation.
Outreach and Collaboration
Throughout the event, INPROCAP representatives shared project materials, including a concise one-pager detailing our mission, services, and value to potential partners. The enthusiastic response and new partnerships formed during IBF2025 represent a significant milestone in expanding INPROCAP’s strategic footprint across the European innovation procurement landscape.
As fusion research moves forward, INPROCAP remains committed to empowering European industry. Especially SMEs—to take part in transformative Big Science projects like ITER.
